Friday - This Season's Favorite Outfit

You are probably going to think I am awful, but my favorite outfit is my pajamas. I have to admit there are days I never change out of them. If I am not going anywhere or expecting anyone to stop by, I would rather stay comfy in my PJ's. Saves on laundry as well! Now, having said this, I am not about to put a picture of me in my jammie's here but I will put a picture of the kind of jammies I wear on here. 😊

Thursday - Family and Friends

Today's prompt is family and friends. I haven't seen any of my friends lately so here are some pictures I took Wednesday of Henry and Spencer, one of Zach at karate that his dad took (he has learned how to use a new weapon, yikes), and some others of the little ones my daughter took.

I know I always show pictures of the grandsons but I don't get out much LOL, and I never get tired of taking their pictures.

We are having family and friends over Saturday for a BBQ so I will try to remember to take some pictures for another time. :-). Everyone take care and stay warm and dry.

Wednesday - Sky View

I took these pictures yesterday late down at the dog walk. We had a cold front moving through so I knew it would rain all day today (which it did and we only had a high temperature of 46 today! That is cold for Florida.) Lucky for me it is suppised to Geat up again by Friday and be in the 70's.

Favorite Winter Food

When it finally cools off some (like last week) we do like to have soup. You have all heard me say that hubby has to have meat, so one of our favorite cool weather soup is oxtail soup. 

This is not a very good picture (I had to use a picture from the internet as I have never taken a picture of our soup). Mine looks similar to this. It is a very hearty soup. We have a recipe for cow foot soup from Belize that I want to make but I haven't been able to find any place that sells cow feet here.

Week 5 - Winter Views

One of my favourite weeks in 2013 was Jen's View week. 

So.. as a slant on Jen's original idea I thought we would have a Views Week, but once each season, that will be late January / April / July and October. 

This Season's Views : Winter

 You can have a lazy week and just post one view for the whole week if you wish, but try and choose a view which you will see changing over the seasons.. or maybe even a picture of how your family is growing up..

... but if you want to join in every day, or some days then here's a few ideas..(you can mix these up if you like as maybe you need to think about some of them over a couple of days)

I am going to pass on the garden/through the window view since we really don't have much of a change of seasons. Everything pretty much stays the same until our spring which will bring out some flowers. 

But I am going to post a few pictures of Spencer who is growing up fast. He will be one year old in two months. It is hard to believe!

His blond hair is so fine that it refuses to lie down so it stands straight up.

Baby sitting for two active babies was enough to wear this MaMaw out. So I have been like Toby today, dog tired.

I now remember why small children are great as a grandchildren! LOL

My World in One Word - Monday

Week 4

Thanks again everyone who joined in last week. Life is quite busy here so I definitely wouldn't have been able to join in if it wasn't for the ability to blog quickly from my phone.

Borqna sent me a few ideas and this week I am going to suggest some prompts grown from an idea she sent me... the original was one picture / 20 words but I thought we would make it easier.. I hope!

This weeks theme is going to be 'My World' 

Each day post a picture of 'your world' but start Monday with one word description, Tuesday with 2 words description and so on..
and if you can only post once why not use ten words to describe the picture which shows us your world.

My world in one word for Monday is "MaMaw". The hubby and I baby sat for the two little ones so my daughter and SIL could take the two older ones, Reidar and Erik to Legoland. It was pretty much an all day affair. Whew, wiped me out for sure.

We enjoyed it though and it was great to have good, one on one time with the babies.   xxx

Inside a Grill

These are our steaks that Thadd has on the grill for our dinner. Tonight he is using the gas grill.

His steaks are better than any you can buy in a restaurant. He marinates them overnight. Yum! xxx

Inside a vehicle

I'm sorry I didn't get this posted yesterday but here are my photos. A shot of the sod Thadd bought at the nursery to replace some that had died. It is in my trunk. Then a picture of the inside, and also a picture of the golf cart.

 

 

Inside a Building

I didn't go out anywhere today so I am sort of cheating and posting a picture of the inside of our shed where we keep an extra refrigerator, freezer and Thadd's tools. It is a building, so I guess it counts.

Not much of a photo and nothing grand but it is all I can do today. It is very cool here today for us and I don't like going out on days like today even though the sun is shining. I guess it could be worse. LOL   xxx

Inside a cupboard

We call them cabinets instead of cupboards but here are a couple from my kitchen. One with wine glasses and the extra mugs we have not packed so we have something to drink our coffee/tea out of, one we keep food stuff in, and one with my spices I use for cooking.

We have way too many coffee mugs. I used to collect them from everywhere we went. LOL xxxx

Wednesday - Inside a machine

Interesting prompt. I wasn't quite sure which machines to photograph but decided to do some of the insides of appliances in my house. This is the inside of my dishwasher.

This is the inside of my oven.

This is the inside of my clothes dryer which got a good workout today since I did four loads of laundry. I would have done the washing machine as well but it was full of clothes washing.

Week 3 - Inside

I'm still playing catch up so I am doing Monday and Tuesday here. These are some pictures of inside my house. This is our guest bedroom.

This is our master bedroom. French doors lead into it and if you are wondering about the chair at the foot of the bed? It is for Toby to be able to get on the bed. He can't jump that high without help since he is so little.

This is part of the master bathroom. We have double sinks and the shower and toliet are on the other side. French doors lead into the bathroom.

This is part of our kitchen. We have an island stove. This area is all open and our family room and breakfast nook is on the other side.

Now for inside a box or bag. I have chosen a box. Thadd and I are working on trying to learn Spanish so I decided to take a picture of inside the Rosetta Stone Box.

We have had this program for a couple of years and will work diligently on it for a while and then slide back into old habits. We have found that if you don't 'use' it, you 'lose' it. Now we are starting all over again. It is a good program.

Week 2 - Colors

Our challenge: This week's theme is a nice easy one to continue to lull us into the year : Colours
        with added Daily prompts:

Saturday : Pink or Purple (depends if you have girls in the house!)

Since we were gone all week on our cruise, I am playing catch up. So, all of my colors will be on this one post.

We had a wonderful, relaxing time. Our batteries are all recharged and we are feeling good. We really didn't do much of anything but relax, read, and eat (too much probably at least for Thadd). I have a tendency to eat less for some reason, so usually lose a pound or two. LOL

So here we go: Monday is red. Henry and Toby chilling on the sofa with red stripped pillows and a red throw.

Tuesday is Blue: This is a picture of the beautiful blue water at Grand Cayman Island. I shot this off of our balcony just straight down into the water.

Here is another picture of the sea and the sky.

Wednesday is Green: I don't have many pictures of green things that I have not already posted but I decided to use one I had of our house. It is light green with darker green shutters and green in the awnings. 

Thursday is White: Our cabin steward made this cute little white hanging monkey for us to come back to one evening. He made other animals as well but we liked this one the best.

Friday is Black: This is a picture of Chino, my daughter's dog. He is a sweet little mixture of Pomeranian and Chihuahua. He has long hair and a curly tail. Toby and Chino have a lot of fun playing together. He is starting to get old as you can see from the white on his muzzle. 

Saturday is Pink or Purple: I love purple. It is my favorite color. I wear a lot of pink as well but they are dark, vibrant pinks instead of pale pinks. Here is a picture I found online that I think is fun. I think it was probably 'photo shopped' somehow but I love the bright pinks and purples.

Sunday is Brown: This is a picture of our cabin. The brown wood is nice.

So, that is the week for me. Here's a couple of other pictures just for fun from our cruise. I actually didn't take too many pictures this time around. This is our ship.

These last two are of Thadd and one of the servers that I took when we ate at one of the alternative restaurants. This was the Moderno, a Brazilian eatery where they bring all different kinds of meats to your table. She also had a pineapple to cut slices off of as well. The food was excellent. Thadd is a real meat lover and he was in seventh Heaven!
